Long Description: On August 3, 1915, bound from Port Hope to Toronto the Alexandria encountered heavy weather, became stranded near the Scarborough Bluffs, and broke up from the severe pounding just off the beach. The Alexandria, a sidewheel steamer measured 173 feet at the time of her demise. She is totally broken up and scattered over the bottom. All that remains visible now is her huge boiler. As the water in the Toronto region is often polluted, you might wish to look at the beach closures to determine if you *want* to dive this location.
